December 2018 marked our first charity event in aid of supporting the British Red Cross ‘Wrapping for Refugees’ project.

Hosted in the wonderful setting of Bloomsbury Central Baptist church off Shaftesbury Avenue we invited all our friends and family to help wrap and fill 100+ shoe boxes with essential goods and gifts as a way to share the joy with people who have suffered so much.

All boxes wrapped at our event were distributed to the Red Cross Centre in Hackney which helps vulnerable asylum seekers and refugees access essential services and provides practical support through the distribution of sleeping bags, warm coats, food parcels, hygiene packs, and clothing. Staffed almost entirely by volunteers, the Hackney Red Cross Centre currently sees approx 100 people a week for destitution services and provides direct support to over 1,000 people a year.

The Red Cross Centre in Hackney makes a huge difference but there are still people in crisis that need your help. A donation to the British Red Cross allows them to be there whenever they’re needed most.
